Designing a brand is an exciting challenge because the process informs the foundation on which the brand’s story will be built.
See my work below on six unique brands.
Branding and Visual Identity:
Varada Consulting
The client requested a brand that reinforced the idea of her consulting company being a woman-led business in a male-dominated field. The word Varada can be translated from Hindi to mean the goddess Laxmi. Laxmi (or Lackshmi) is a multi-armed figure that inspired the logo icon.
This joint venture between Reon, Envise, and Southland needed a brand to approach the market with and use in the proposal process. The goal with my design choice was to show the three groups as one entity moving forward. I provided both a flat version and a 3D version for different uses and possible future animation use.
The brand request for this client was something that reinforced his mission to provide safety equipment to football players. The chosen design both hints at a head wearing a helmet as well as a shield for protection.
In early 2015 Southland Industries decided to re-brand its Southland Service company as Envise. This group would be doing both mechanical service and building controls. Though neither design was chosen as the final design, both were heavily considered in the final decision process.
Envise pursued developing an analytics capability. They requested some logo identities that could complement the existing brand. Though they ended up not moving forward with the project, I believe these concepts not only show the breadth of what I offered but also demonstrate concepts that could work well with the existing brand while showing something new.
